After more than 1 year of preparation we shut the footage from
March 01.2022 to March 10.2022
in Springfield, Missouri at the Honey Branch Ranch
We expect the feature movie to hit the festivals
at the beginning of 2023 and looking still for funds
to finance the festivals.

The Story
True stories from WWII have been transformed to screen time and time again.
Despite this, very few war films have tackled the moral dilemmas that soldiers,
regardless of their nationality, must face in the heat of battle.
This is the core of our film Reveille; a historical fiction.
We want to tell the story of the situations these characters
found themselves in during the Italian campaign in late 1943.
Our main goal is to tell the story from multiple perspectives and encompass all sides.
With most war movies, you usually are shown a certain perspective and we want to make sure all sides of the story are shared equally.
Historical accuracy in detail as you never have seen before in War Movies,
raw, true and correct!
Michael Akkermann
Movie Maker and Director
Michael graduated from Columbia College Hollywood
with a Bachelor of Arts in Directing and Screenwriting.
He currently designs posters and conceptual art for short films
while continuing to write stories based in the war genre.
As a professional artist, his unique illustrations are done in graphite and colored pencils.
Michael’s most notable work is Plastic Apocalypse on YouTube.

Myra Miller, PHD

Myra is co-founder of Footsteps Researchers LLC,
specializing in World War II research and leading footsteps tours for
families who want to visit the former battlefields of loved ones.
Living in St. Louis, Missouri, she does archival research obtaining specific documents from
NARA St. Louis and College Park. For Footsteps Battlefield Tours, Myra is the lead Administrator and Tour Host managing the reservations, general administration, and client communication.
Through her non-profit, Legacy: Lost & Found, she assists in returning battlefield and
war relics to the families of the soldiers they once belonged to.
In a special collaboration, she led her family to create Miller Publishing LLC
and they have published two books; Soldiers’ Stories:
A Collection of WWII Memoirs, Volume I and Volume II.
Working in film productions as archival researcher and producer, Myra is currently busy with
WW2 projects like; “King Size – The Ghost Plane of LaFosse”, “The Brave Dutch”, and “Reveille”.

Bernd came out of pure lucky coincidence to Reveille.
His friend Jörg Rochlizer approached him after first resisting Bernd got hooked to the project.
Bernd has a background from the German Boarder Patrol,
and is an entrepreneur and also curator at the
Frisian House Museum in Wellsburg, IA.
With his German Background, born in Braunschweig Germany, the right age and body style and native speaking German, Michael Akkerman discovered him as perfect for the Role of Walter Brander.
Bernd also reenacted events like bank robbery and bootlegger chase regional.
Quickly Bernd got involved, helped translate script and trained the actors
in German behavior and language.
Bernd owns a Pond Store and Construction Business
Bernd graduated as Machinist
and has a Masters degree as Water-landscaper.
Bernd owns an extensive collection of old coffee grinders,
cast iron match holders and street pianos.
He is a history buff and enjoys correctness.
Quickly he became the nickname "Die alte Mann"
Burdette E. Walters
Producer
Burdette E. Walters is a native of Grundy County. His ancestry is 100% German, with most from Eastfriesland. He is proud of his Friesian roots. Burdette graduated from Wellsburg, High School, in 1969, and later graduated in 1973 from Wartburg College, in Waverly, Iowa with a major in History, and a minor in German.
His interests also include collecting antiques, and has furnished his National Register Home with period antiques. He also collects Edison cylinder phonographs, and does hobby restoration on them.Along with Edison he collects Victor, Columbia, Brunswick, and other machines. along with his extensive Kaiser Wilhelm II china, and other WWI items.
Burdette E. Walters
also owns a National Registered Home which is a private Museum and displays the life of 1920 and earlier.
It was important to him, to support Reveille in honor of his Father who served in the Pacific in WW II in the US Army.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Noble is inspired by the diverse environments he encounters everyday within the various communities of his hometown. Having grown up with movies of all kinds, his affinity for visual storytelling and cinematic language developed from an early age. He earned a B.F.A. in Cinema from Columbia College Hollywood, which is where he focused on cinematography. He worked professionally throughout his schooling and became an accomplished cameraman. Noble has enjoyed working on many different projects and has become a highly versatile cinematographer. He relishes the process of working with the director to create a unique and captivating visual experience for the audience.
In addition to working behind the scenes, Noble has also enjoyed performing in front of the camera as well as on the stage. If time permits, he wishes to continue telling stories through acting.

studies Digital Media and Broadcasting at Marshalltown Community College and will continue his education through the University of Iowa's cinema department.
Living in central Iowa, Dillon became fascinated by the film-making process after being involved in and directing multiple short film projects in high school.
He has since then continued his production journey in college, primarily producing commercial and promotional material for local businesses.

Kevin Thorn is a Midwest filmmaker who grew up in Fairfield, Iowa
where he first discovered his interest for video production in middle school.
Kevin graduated with a double major in electronic media production and digital media leadership from the University of Northern Iowa and has worked for companies all over the nation such as Shed Media and BCII in Los Angeles to the Law & Crime Network in New York.
Kevin splits his time with both narrative/documentary and live broadcast on projects such as Auction Insiders on Amazon Prime,
